Come on -
break the mould!

Turn off your computer.

Have a bath get dressed

Step out and greet the world.

Look up at the sky above you.

Kneel down and feel the earth,

Smell the flowers.

Listen to the sounds of nature.

Break the silence with a song.

Take a walk away from the house.

Smile at the people who pass by.

Stop and speak to a stranger.

Offer help to someone who
doesn’t expect it.

Bite into some raw food,
even better picked fresh.

Do something different.

What does tomorrow hold?

What will tomorrow bring?
Tomorrow is an unopened box,
It might hold fantastic surprises
Or unwanted gifts but  they are yours.
How you respond and learn from them
Will help shape each new box of tomorrow.
Here is wishing all your tomorrow’s boxes
are filled with only the very best.

Sometimes we wish we had a crystal ball and we could know, what we do know is that change is constantly happening. It is the one thing you can bank on – nothing stays the same – everything is evolving and changing.
There are some things that are predictable, night follows day and comes back round again. The tide ebbs and flows with the waxing and waning of the moon. The seasons follow each other throughout  the year. Nature has settled into a comfortable pattern of time but even nature can be thrown.
That there will be change is a foregone conclusion,  we need to be ready for what these changes may bring. Not easy when changes often spring out of nowhere especially when we have settled happily into a placid and content way of life. We can choose to go with the changes or fight them. Ultimately we will have to adapt to whatever life brings and it is much easier if you have thought about the possibilites and have a few back up plans.
Allow yourself to think outside the box, be flexible things seldom turn out exactly as we plan them to. Learn to be realistic, your attitude can shape your future but it has to fit in with the greater scheme of things.
Replace thinking about what you can get out of a situation with what you have to offer, if you are an active player you will have more sway in a situation than if you are just a bystander. You may not have complete control but you will certainly have influence.
Taking responsibility for the way things turn out requires confidence, become centered, consider the situation now and think about how you would like it to be. Make plans to get where you want to be and include the people who can help you get there no one is an island and tomorrows are so much easier and more fun when they are shared.

The Dance of Life...

Awe inspiring, absolutely phenomenal!
Have you ever stopped to think
About how amazing our planet is?
So perfectly placed within our universe.
Positioned  in a vast expanse of space,
It pirouettes like a dancer gracefully
Interacting with the members of the galaxy.
What is the force so unfathomable
That orchestrates them in perfect unisom?

The world ultimately holds the future of existence.
When we consider the extreme importance of our world, why is it then that we continue to live the way we do? It is time we stop and evaluate what we are doing. Each effort you make to preserve our world no matter how small is a step in the right direction for our future generations.
Remember natural resources are not infinite
We need to conserve them.

Let’s Live

The long and short of it all.....

The long and short of it all
depends on how long you
take to let things go.

You can choose you hold on to things
that worry and upset you or you can
choose to let them go and move on.
Holding on to past hurt and pain can
Have a negative impact on the future.

We all carry different burdens,
Each one of us having walked our
Own unique path through life.
Letting go will mean different things
to different people but it will have
a very similar affect that of being
able to move forward unhindered.

There are times in our lives when
we just have to knuckle down
and do things.
It might not be something we enjoy
doing but it needs to be done.
How we let it affect the way we
continue to live our lives
there after is up to us.

Let me share with you a very old story
of two monks, one an old and wise monk
and the other a much younger monk.

It is a  called “The Pretty Lady.”

Once upon a time, a big monk and a little monk were travelling together. They came to the bank of a river and found the bridge was damaged. They had to wade across the river.
There was a pretty lady who was stuck at the damaged bridge and couldn’t cross the river. The big monk offered to carry the pretty lady across the river on his back. The lady accepted.
The little monk was shocked by the move of the big monk. “How can big disciple brother carry a lady when we are supposed to avoid all intimacy with females?” thought the little monk.
But he kept quiet.
The big monk carried the lady across the river and the small monk followed unhappily. When they crossed the river, the big monk put the lady down and they parted ways with her.
All along the way for several miles, the little monk was very unhappy with the act of the big monk. He was making up all kinds of accusations about the big monk in his head. This got him madder and madder. But he still kept quiet. And the big monk had no inclination to explain his situation.
Finally, at a rest point many hours later, the little monk could not stand it any further, he burst out angrily at the big monk. “How can you claim yourself a devout monk, when you seize the first opportunity to touch a female, especially when she is very pretty? All your teachings to me make you a big hypocrite.”
The big monk looked surprised and said, “I had put down the pretty lady at the river bank many hours ago, how come you are still carrying her along?”

Once something has been done it cannot be undone.
Nothing you do afterwards can change the fact it is done
but you can decide to make short of it and let go
or you can allow it to eat away at you for a long time.
The choice is yours.

Do you really know?

How much of a person
do we ever get to know?

Only what they allow us to see.

Many of us float along in the sun,
trying not to make waves concealing
that there is more than meets the eye.
Almost like the tip of an iceberg.

We see the part of that person that
comes to life when you are together.
Most of it remains submerged under
the layers of the subconscious.
With only fragments showing above.

We may never really get to know who
a person is under the surface.
What heartache they are dealing with.
What really makes them truly happy.

There are times when people we think
we know act completely out of character.
It is said still waters run deep and people
can’t always keep their feelings hidden.

Each one of us holds the seeds of good and evil,
we don’t always give life to these emotions,
deep down they are there and they can surface.
Be lenient with those you hold dear,
they may be dealing with far more
than you could imagine.

Watch Where you Click!

When I was a child
I had to watch closely
where I was walking
for fear of stepping on
an explosive device.

Now as an adult
I need to be careful
where I click for fear
of clicking on a virus.

The difference is the one
you are aware of immediately.
The other climbs inside our
cyber world and destroys silently.

Before you click a link you are unsure of
find out where it leads to by asking friends.

Let's Live

Hold happiness in your own hands.

Always hold your happiness in your own hands,
so it will always be within your reach.
Do not rely on others to make you happy,
Happiness comes from within.
Let me share with you a story about a penny and a fork.
There was once a lady who believed her happiness
lay in the hands of another man.
He had promised her everything, leave your home he told her and bring your son, I have a school arranged and new home all planned for you,
all I want is to be your husband.
This lady had been trapped in a very abusive relationship and was hesitant to trust anyone again, but the man was convincing
and he was of good standing, so she agreed to give up everything
she had, and fly to a foreign country to be with him.
When she arrived at the airport he was nowhere to be seen.
So she told her son not to worry everything would be alright.
It was late at night and it was snowing outside so they sat and had coffee.
Eventually after waiting for four hours the man arrived
and took them to a hotel, then left again.
He had not done as he promised, there was no school arranged
and he had no intention of arranging anywhere for them to live.
Not wanting to scare her son the lady called out to the universe for help,
she could not fly back, that was not an option. She had to push on.
Feeling like it was the end of the world they set out the next day in the snow.

“Please God you said you would never put anyone
in a fire too hot for them to handle”
she called out;
“Please send me a sign...”
And as she walked in the snow she found a fork -
the message was you will always have enough food to eat.
A few steps further down the road she found a penny -
the message was you will always have enough money
to keep a roof over your heads.

And so it was that she was able to find a new home and provide a home
for her son in a foreign land.

Light a Little Candle

Everything we do,
say and feel
Makes us who we are.

It is never too late to
make a change for the better.
Light a candle of hope
 in your heart and
keep it burning.

It will give you faith in yourself
in your darkest days.
When ever you sense the flame
is not burning bright,
Give your spirits a lift.

Remember each day brings
a fresh chance to start again.
Don’t ever quit believing in yourself.
As long as you believe you can,
you will have a reason for trying.

Let's Live

Four Words to get you through anything.

There are times in our lives when we are ready to give up, we feel like our hands are tied and there is no way forwards.

Let me share a story with you.

In days gone by there lived a King who wished to find the one phrase to get him through all lives difficult situations. This king gathered all his wise menand counsellors together and set them the task to go out into the world in search of the phrase to;
“Get him through all life’s situations!”
Go out into the world he told them, search high and low, spare no expense, consult all the wise men you can find, but do not come back until you can find the one phrase to help me cope with anything.
Whether I am on top of the world or in the pits, find that statement. I don’t want to learn long and complicated philosophies. I want one simple statement. Find it or write it; I don’t care, just bring me the statement.”
The men all left, thinking this was the most difficult thing the King could have ever asked them to do, how could one phrase replace all the wise words that are written? After all we all know there are different ways of handling things and surely there could not be one phrase to replace all of them.
Then after many long days and nights of searching for the answers the wise men returned to their king and presented him with a scroll.
The King unravelled the scroll and on it
four words were written

“THIS TOO SHALL PASS!”
That was it. The wise men explained. When you are on top of the world, that is but a fleeting moment, things change, always remember, this too shall pass. When you are in the pits, all nights are followed by day, at your lowest moments remember also, this too shall pass.
When ever you are faced with a difficult situation
remember these words.
THIS TOO SHALL PASS!

Let the Light come shining through

Value the power of believing,
everything starts with the
ability to believe.
If you open the door to belief
you allow things to start happening.
Have the courage to see things
in a different light.
Choose to focus on what is good,
the unfortunate occurances have a way
of overshadowing the things that give us joy.

Know that beyond the shadows,
The light will come shining through.
Let's Live

Pick a Rose.. Choose an lifestyle.

Which rose did you chose?

The gold one that had died?
Or the red one that was full of life?

All that glitters is not gold.
And yet many of us go in search of it.
Love can not be bought,
you can have all the wealth in the world
and still not have love.

What thoughts fill your mind?
Are they positive life inspiring ones
or is your mind filled with worry?
We attract what we think about.

Let your mind be filled with love and care,
do not lust for what you do not have
but treasure what you have and
give your life a loving boost.

Fill your mind with positive thoughts.
Allow yourself a free flow of inspiration,
Chase the dark gloomy thoughts out
and make way for rainbows.

Friends make Life Worth Living

Let me tell you a story about two ordinary looking  horses, that live in a field not far away. There is something special about these horses, if you stop and take a look at them you will see one wears a bridle and the other doesn't. If you listen you will hear the sound of a bell it is attached to the horse with the bridle.
If you look carefully you will notice the horse without a bridle is blind.
The bell is so the blind horse can tell where his friend is and stay close to him.
Stay and watch a while and you will see how the seeing horse always keeps a look out for his friend and when he wanders too far off the seeing horse shivers to ring his bell and call his blind friend closer.
In turn the blind horse always has his ears cocked
listening for his friend's bell.

Sometimes we are the blind horse
Being guided by the little ringing bell of those
Who have been placed in our lives.
Other times we are the guide horse,
Helping others to find their way.
Good friends are like this.
You may not always see them but you know
They are always there, especially in times of need.
Listen for my bell and I will listen for yours.

Let's Live

To Blind to See!

Sometimes we want

something so badly

That we fail to see it when

it is right in front of us.

We strive to achieve our goals and

just before we reach them we give up.

We are so focused that we get tunnel vision

and the things that are happening around us
are beyond our path of vision.

There are times when the grass on the other side
seems so much more tempting than what we have.

Take a moment to stop and smell the coffee,

Value what you have, see the joy in each day.

Let me share a story I read;
“A tribesman was transported from a remote mountain wilderness (a society that had not yet discovered the wheel) to a large city. When he returned, he reported that the most significant thing he saw was somebody using a wheelbarrow to carry more bananas than he ever thought possible. He literally did not see the significance of automobiles and skyscrapers. He was not prepared to see them.”

A Letter from God 9/11

Today is a day that will be remembered for eternity,
so much happened to so many on this day in 2001.
Horror and disbelief wracked peoples hearts
all over the world.
It is not for those that have gone before
but for those that remain that we mourn.

A Letter From God;
Meet Me in the Stairwell.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room
with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I
held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the
peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it
is OK..I am ready to go.'

I was with his wife when he called as she fed
breakfast to their children. I held her up as she
tried to understand his words and as she realized
he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a
woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been
knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said.
'Of course I will show you the way home - only
believe in Me now.'

I was at the base of the building with the Priest
ministering to the injured and devastated souls.
I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He
heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat,
with every prayer. I was with the crew as they
were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the
believers there, comforting and assuring them that their
faith has saved them.

I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan .
I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news.
Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew
every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me
for the first time on the 86th floor.

Some sought Me with their last breath.
Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the
smoke and flames; 'Come to Me... this way... take
my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me.
But, I was there.

I did not place you in the Tower that day. You
may not know why, but I do.. However, if you were
there in that explosive moment in time, would you have
reached for Me?

Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey
for you . But someday your journey will end. And I
will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may
be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are
'ready to go.'

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.
God

Set your sights and follow your heart.

Set your sights
on your dreams
and give them wings.

Dreams can lie dormant for a long time
It is only when we give them wings
that they become a possibility.

For a dream to become a reality we need to work towards it.
To focus on  them  and put our energies into making them happen.
When we reach obstacles we need to overcome them,
No one ever said life was going to be easy,
we need to learn to take the bumps and ride them through.
Use things that bring us down as a launching pad for the next move.

Just as an eagle watch’s from above,
consider your plans from a distance,
calculating the risks and planning ahead.
Should a friend offer a helping hand
accept it, helping angels come in the
form of friends.

A vision shared becomes stronger.
The stronger a vision the sooner it
Can become a reality.

From small things - Big things come

Let us consider a flower seed,
a tiny thing,
and yet it holds so much potential.

When we plant a seed,
we wait in anticipation
for what it will become,
we do not criticize it for
taking to long.

Each day we love and care for it,
eagerly watching for the first sign
of a green shoot.

When it does we do not sneer at it
for being immature and insignificant.
We celebrate it’s attempts at trying.

When the buds appear,
we do not force them to open
but allow them to take their own time.
Watching in awe as they
blossom in the fullness of time.

Each one of us holds the
seeds of success and happiness.
We need to allow our seeds to grow,
To be patient with ourselves,
going at our own pace.

Acknowledging our achievements
and bring our potential into reality.
